Claims that CHP's Kalecik Mayor Satılmış Karakoç, Gölbaşı Mayor Yakup Odabaşı, Haymana Mayor Levent Koç, and Nallıhan Mayor Ertunç Güngör would join the AKP have dominated the agenda.

While Kalecik Mayor Satılmış Karakoç denied the allegations that he would switch to the AKP, a surprise meeting took place in Ankara.

Haymana Mayor Levent Koç and Gölbaşı Mayor Yakup Odabaşı, whose names were mentioned in the transfer rumors, visited Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum.

Making a statement regarding the visit on his social media account, Minister Kurum said, "We hosted Haymana Mayor Mr. Levent Koç and Gölbaşı Mayor Mr. Yakup Odabaşı at our Ministry. We evaluated the needs of our districts and the ongoing projects. We will continue our work in cooperation with our local governments for the development of our Ankara."


Koç and Odabaşı, who are on the agenda with claims that they will join the AKP, did not make any statement regarding the allegations in question. The fact that the two mayors visited Minister Kurum in the shadow of transfer rumors drew attention.
