The 13th day of the Newborn Gang trial, which is being closely followed by Turkey and where the baby killers are being tried, has concluded. In the case where the court announced its interim decision, 7 new arrests were made.
Following the defense statements by the defendants' lawyers, the first hearing ended today. The Court Panel announced its interim decision.
Deciding that the 22 defendants currently in custody shall remain detained, the court ordered the arrest of 7 of the 25 defendants who were being tried without detention.
Among those for whom an arrest warrant was issued is Ali Aksu, the owner of Birinci Hospital, who had not attended the hearing for the past two days.
Thus, the number of detainees in the case has risen to 29.
One of the names arrested in the courtroom after the announcement of the interim decision drew particular attention.

Among those arrested in the courtroom was Murat Mantuş, the General Manager of TRG Hospitalist, who is the former head of security for MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli.
