WHAT HAD SADETTİN SARAN SAID?
Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Sadettin Saran had previously made a statement regarding the share transfers of the betting company he owns, stating that any potential ban would apply to him personally, not the club.
Saran had said, "My company is just a simple dealer that does not set the odds. This whirlwind of lies is being created to influence the undecided and to discourage people from coming to the congress. The worst that could happen is a ban. We applied for the transfer request on August 22, before the board officially announced the election date. The necessary applications have been made. Let's say something incredible happened and I was banned. Still, there is nothing that could affect Fenerbahçe. They are making incredible claims, making things up, talking about trustees. When it comes to that point, I will have it shut down if necessary."
