Mehmet Yerlikaya, the 85-year-old uncle of Minister Yerlikaya, who had been receiving treatment in the hospital for some time due to health issues, passed away in the morning hours.
Yerlikaya's funeral was held at the Mürşit Pınar Mosque in the Selçuklu district following the afternoon prayer, after which he was laid to rest at the Musalla Cemetery.
The funeral was attended by Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, several deputy ministers, members of parliament, and his relatives.
