A story like a joke... An imam in Diyarbakır abducted another imam's wife

The wife of imam H.A., who serves in the İslamköy neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Kulp district, was abducted by an imam serving at another mosque.

According to a report by Seyhan Avşar from Gerçek Gündem, the woman's family demanded that their son-in-law, H.A., kill the imam who abducted his wife. Community leaders intervened.

Imam H.A. had been serving in the İslamköy neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Kulp district for over 4 years. H.A., who was well-loved and respected by the neighborhood residents, had a wife who was a housewife. Imam H.A.'s wife fled/was abducted to Urfa by A.A., who is also an imam.

The family instructed the imam, saying, "You will shoot both our daughter and the one who abducted her." Local community leaders intervened. The situation has been calmed for now.
