Osman Gökçek, labeled an informant by ABB case whistleblower Taşbaş: 'I will reveal another file'

While the repercussions of the 'concert' investigation into the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) continue, AKP member Osman Gökçek, who was pointed out as the informant of the case by the case's whistleblower Taşbaş, made notable statements regarding the ABB case during a live broadcast he attended.

Connecting to the tv100 live broadcast, Osman Gökçek stated that he would reveal another file on October 6, saying, "These files are far, far above the figures of the concert profiteering."

AKP Ankara Deputy Osman Gökçek made the following statements regarding the concert investigation into the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality:

"First of all, this concert profiteering related to Mansur Yavaş has been brought to the agenda by our Ankara provincial chairman, our parliamentary group deputy chairman, and our other friends. Because we have done a very detailed study on the concert issue, Mansur Yavaş has not answered any of our questions on the subject from that day to this. And he said, 'Go complain about me to the prosecutor's office.' I did what Mr. Mansur said; I went and filed a complaint with the judicial authorities. After this complaint was filed, Mr. Mansur Yavaş is talking about issues from the past period that have nothing to do with these matters.

"OUR SUBJECT IS CONCERT PROFITEERING"

Every claim made by Mr. Mansur can be discussed and debated. But our current subject is concert profiteering. We have been talking about it from the very beginning. I have also had meetings with some artists. I do not want to give their names. Some artists received 5 million, and a 69 million TL invoice was issued. But a 5 million TL invoice was issued to the artist.

"4 MILLION TL INVOICE FOR A 42 MILLION TL CONCERT"

With the technical cost figure of just one of Mansur Yavaş's concerts, the technical equipment for all the concerts could actually be purchased. No one is talking about or debating this. 42 million TL was paid to an artist for one concert. That artist issued a 4 million 600 thousand invoice themselves; where did the remaining money go? The same concert was repeated the following August 30th. It was done for 5 million. You did it for 42 million last year. How was it 5 million this year when that artist wasn't even in the organization? How could this difference exist?"

"I WOULD BE THE GUILTY ONE"

Speaking about Mansur Yavaş's 'whistleblower' claims, Gökçek said, "I did not receive a petition from anyone regarding effective remorse, nor did I have a meeting. Inspectors came into the ABB. It is true that the person who gave the statement came to me 10 days ago. He said, 'I want to tell the inspectors about the events I witnessed.' I told him, 'It is a great sin to slander anyone, but if you know something, go and tell it.' He came to me because I am one of those who filed the lawsuit. He said, 'I want you to write down the document I want to give a statement to the inspectors on, sign it, and deliver it by hand.' I took it and delivered it to the necessary authorities. If I had not delivered this, I would be the guilty one," he said.

"I WILL REVEAL ANOTHER FILE ON OCTOBER 6"

Continuing his speech, Gökçek said, "I will reveal another file on October 6. These files are far, far above the figures of the concert profiteering. I am not saying 99 percent; there is 100 percent profiteering in the concert events. This is very clear," he said.

Speaking about the social media post of former ABB President Melih Gökçek, Osman Gökçek said, "The most important thing in a person's life is their honor and dignity. I swear on my honor and dignity that the 'bomb post' that was put up is about the files we will reveal on October 6," he said.

DID GÖKÇEK COMMENT ON A 'SECOND WAVE'?

Speaking about Mansur Yavaş's 'second wave' claims, Gökçek said, "Let him explain to me where we said this, let him prove it, and I will resign from my deputyship. If he cannot prove it himself, let him resign from his mayorship. Is it possible for me to talk today about an incident that might happen within the judicial authorities?" he said.
