Within the scope of the investigation, İbrahim Barut, son of Nezih Barut, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abdi İbrahim Pharmaceuticals; magazine columnist Mehmet Üstündağ; social media influencer Bilal Hancı; and Abdullah Gençal, son of Huzur Giyim owner Turgut Gençal, had been detained.
Following the completion of their procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan. Among the suspects who gave statements to the prosecutor, Bilal Hancı was referred to the duty magistrate with a request for judicial control measures in the form of 'not leaving the residence,' Abdullah Gençal with a request for arrest, and İbrahim Barut and Mehmet Üstündağ with a request for judicial control measures in the form of a 'travel ban' and 'signing in'.
Abdullah Gençal, who was referred to the duty magistrate, was arrested, while a travel ban and house arrest were imposed on Bilal Hancı. İbrahim Barut and Mehmet Üstündağ were also released under judicial control with a travel ban.
