According to a report by İsmail Arı from BirGün, Elif Kaya has been appointed to replace the dismissed Press Advisor Ertan Ömeroğlu.
It was learned that Kaya is the wife of Ünal Kaya, the Editor-in-Chief of Bengü Türk TV, which is known for its proximity to the MHP. When asked whether there was any political influence in her appointment, Elif Kaya replied, "My CV is there for all to see."
