News reports concerning the commercial relationship between Polonia Beef, which carries out more than half of the Meat and Milk Board's (ESK) imports, and AKP MKYK member Halil Efe Tunç have been blocked from access by a decision of the Sakarya 1st Criminal Judgeship of Peace. The court cited the "protection of national security and public order" as the justification for the decision.
The Freedom of Expression Association's (İFÖD) EngelliWeb project announced the development to the public.
According to the allegations in question, one of the notable names associated with Polonia Beef is Halil Efe Tunç, the son of Bülent Tunç, who is the owner of Tunç Et and the President of the Central Union of Red Meat Producers. Tunç, who was one of the youngest names elected to the AKP Youth Branch MKYK at the beginning of 2025, has a stake in the company that forms the core element of the reports subject to the access block.
