According to a poll in Israel, 80 percent of the public holds Netanyahu responsible for the October 7 attacks

Israel's "Maariv" newspaper published the results of a poll conducted by the Lazar Research Institute, which included a random sample of 510 Israelis.

According to the poll, 80 percent of Israelis hold Netanyahu responsible for the attack carried out by the Qassam Brigades on October 7. The report stated, "Only 8 percent of Israelis did not hold Netanyahu responsible. 12 percent stated they had no opinion."

• The report noted that 65 percent of Israelis support a "large-scale ground operation in the Gaza Strip" under blockade, while 21 percent of Israeli citizens are against a ground operation.

• It was stated that 51 percent of Israelis support responding to Hezbollah in Lebanon, while 30 percent are in favor of a large-scale operation against Lebanon.

• While it was reported that 65 percent of the public in Israel looks to the country's future with hope and 25 percent view it negatively, the poll results indicated that if an election were held in the country, the political parties forming the government would only be able to win 43 of the 120 seats in the Knesset.

ISRAEL-PALESTINE CONFLICT

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, launched a comprehensive attack on Israel on the morning of October 7, dubbed "Al-Aqsa Flood."

While thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza toward Israel, Palestinian armed groups raided and seized the Beit Hanoun-Erez Border Crossing on the Gaza-Israel border.

The armed groups then entered residential areas inside Israel from there, and the Israeli army launched an attack on the Gaza Strip with dozens of fighter jets.

It was reported that 1,400 Israelis, 306 of whom were soldiers, were killed and 4,834 Israelis were injured in the attacks from Gaza.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that 3,785 people, including 1,524 children, had been killed and more than 12,000 people had been injured in Israel's attacks on Gaza.

It was stated that 81 Palestinians had been killed in attacks by Israeli forces and Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank.

In the attack carried out by Israel on the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza on October 17, 471 people lost their lives and 342 people were injured, 28 of them seriously.
