Administrative Law Professor Metin Günday: İmamoğlu's lateral transfer process is in accordance with the law

Administrative Law Professor Metin Günday made statements regarding the decision to cancel the diploma of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğlu. Prof. Dr. Günday stated, "Ekrem İmamoğlu's lateral transfer process is completely in accordance with the law."

Prof. Dr. Metin Günday stated the following in his assessment during a broadcast on Sözcü TV:

"There is a lateral transfer process. The lateral transfer process is completely in accordance with the law. A process that is in accordance with the law cannot be interfered with. Ekrem İmamoğlu's lateral transfer process is completely in accordance with the law. İmamoğlu's lateral transfer is fully compliant with the legislation in effect in 1990. The prosecutor's letter is a disaster. Have these people not studied administrative law in law school? If they did, did they not understand it?"
