The People's Alliance's Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) mayoral candidate, Murat Kurum, answered questions from Mehmet Akif Ersoy on Habertürk TV.
During the program, where non-political topics were discussed, Kurum admitted to committing a traffic offense at the age of 17.
In response to Ersoy's question, "Did you ever get into any mischief when you were little?", Kurum replied: "I did something once. If we call it mischief, I hadn't gotten my driver's license yet, but I knew how to drive."
"I DROVE WITHOUT A LICENSE"
Laughing at Ersoy's reaction of "I don't think you did that," Kurum replied, "I did. I drove without a license."
Kurum said the following:
"It happens, it happens. Whatever we say, we see it on the evening news immediately. I mean, let's say I'm going somewhere. Of course, our schedules are very busy. We start in the morning at 09:00 and go until 02:00 at night. 8-9-10 programs. You go and speak everywhere. We went to Küçükçekmece sometimes, for example, recently. I said Büyükçekmece. Or, you know, we put on a hard hat at the construction site... We're going to put it on our heads, where else would we put it? While speaking there, when I say putting the hard hat on our feet, or on our heads, they immediately make news out of it."
