WHAT DID NACİ GÖRÜR SAY?

Prof. Dr. Naci Görür had noted the following regarding the consecutive earthquakes in the Aegean and Mediterranean:

"Friends, there have been many earthquakes (around magnitude 4) lately to the NE of Santorini Island. In the Hellenic-Cyprus Arc subduction zone, the Aegean part of the overriding plate is constantly being stretched as the African plate subducts beneath the Anatolian plate and is consumed. This causes earthquakes."
