AFAD's statement on its social media account noted that as a result of search efforts for the crew missing from the dry cargo ship that sank due to adverse weather conditions on November 19, one more body has been recovered, and the search for 8 people continues.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The Turkish-flagged dry cargo ship "Kafkametler" struck a breakwater off the coast of the Karadeniz Ereğli district of Zonguldak on November 19 due to high-speed winds and a storm, and search and rescue operations were launched for the 12 missing crew members.
So far, the bodies of 4 crew members have been recovered, and search and rescue operations for 8 people are ongoing.
