In a statement made by AFAD, it was stated: “A 4.8-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Kırıkhan district of Hatay at approximately 05:32. The earthquake, whose epicenter was the Taşoluk neighborhood of Kırıkhan district, was also felt in neighboring provinces, especially Adana.”

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, in a post on his Twitter account regarding the earthquake in Hatay, said: “Following the 4.8-magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Kırıkhan district of Hatay and was also felt in surrounding provinces, all teams from our relevant institutions, primarily AFAD, are continuing their field scanning efforts. We are closely monitoring the developments. I extend my best wishes to our citizens affected by the earthquake. May God protect our country and our nation from disasters.”
