AFAD: Earthquake occurs in Elazığ

According to information received from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) Earthquake Department, a magnitude 4.0 earthquake occurred with its epicenter in the Sivrice district of Elazığ at 22:52.

It was learned that no negative incidents occurred following the earthquake, which took place at a depth of approximately 11 kilometers.

EARTHQUAKE STATEMENT FROM THE ELAZIĞ GOVERNOR'S OFFICE

Making a statement following the magnitude 4.0 earthquake in the Sivrice district of Elazığ, the Elazığ Governor's Office reported that no damage reports had been received by AFAD or 112 emergency hotlines so far.

According to data shared by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), a magnitude 4.0 earthquake was recorded in the Sivrice district of Elazığ at 22:52. The tremor, which occurred at a depth of approximately 11.47 kilometers, was also felt in surrounding districts and the city center. It was learned that, according to initial assessments, no negative incidents occurred during the earthquake.

The Elazığ Governor's Office issued a statement regarding the magnitude 4.0 earthquake in the Sivrice district. The statement said, "Following the earthquake, no damage reports have been made to AFAD or 112 emergency hotlines in our province. All our units are closely monitoring the effects of the earthquake in our province."
