AFAD issues warning with specific timing: Heavy snowfall is coming

The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) has issued a warning, stating that heavy snowfall is expected in the Eastern Black Sea region.
The statement released by AFAD included the following remarks;
“According to the latest information received from the General Directorate of Meteorology and the assessments made; heavy snowfall is expected in the Eastern Black Sea region! Starting from the evening hours on Friday, January 12; heavy sleet and snowfall are expected in high-altitude areas above 600 meters in Trabzon, Rize, Artvin, and Giresun. With the cooling of the weather, it is estimated that starting from the early hours of Saturday, the snowfall will be strong in areas above 100 meters, including coastal sections. We strongly remind our citizens to be cautious against negative conditions such as disruptions in transportation, blizzards, icing, and frost.”
