Geophysicist Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ercan drew attention to the North Anatolian Fault Line and issued important warnings.
In a statement on his social media account, Ercan pointed to Istanbul in the north of the North Anatolian Fault, and Karasu, Bursa, and Altınoluk in the south, stating the following:
"The North Anatolian Fault, roaring with M6-M7.5 earthquakes, opens 1000-meter deep trenches in front of Istanbul in the north; tears off the Kapıdağ Peninsula in the middle; and opens a new strait to the Aegean via Karasu, Bursa, and Altınoluk in the south. Earthquakes evolve the earth."
Kuzey Anadolu Kırığı M6-M7,5'luk depremlerle kükreyerek kuzeyde; İstanbul önünde 1000 metrelik derin çukurlar açarken, ortada; Kapıdağ Yarımadasını koparıyor, güneyde; Karasu, Bursa, Altınoluk üzerinden Ege'ye yeni bir boğaz açıyor. Depremler yeri evrimleştirir.
