Hürriyet Editor-in-Chief Ahmet Hakan announced his decision for the local elections in his column today, following the 5.1 and 4.5 magnitude earthquakes centered in Mudanya that also affected Istanbul.
Hakan stated, “I will cast my vote for whoever has the potential to make Istanbul earthquake-resistant, whoever can be trusted regarding the promises made on this issue, whoever has accomplished significant work in this area in the past, and whoever demonstrates the ability to take the most radical decisions and implement them quickly.”
