Ahmet Özer criticizes operations against the main opposition during the peace process: Warning for concrete steps

Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer, who was arrested andremoved from officefollowing the "City Consensus" operation and regainedhisfreedomafter nearly a year, made statements in VanIn his statement, he said, "To increase the belief in peace, concrete steps must be taken. Trials should be conducted without detention. The issue of appointed trustees must be ended. The rulings of the European Court of Human Rights and the Constitutional Court must be implemented. While conducting a peace process on one hand, on the other hand, one should not resort to operations against the main opposition party."

For a series of visits and meetingswho arrived in Van for a series of visits, Esenyurt MayorAhmet Özer was greetedwith enthusiasm by the public and party members at the airport. In his statementmadehere, he said the followingsaid:

However, for the developments regarding peace to be more result-oriented,the hopes of the people must grow,and the belief inpeace must bein terms of risingconcrete steps need to be taken. For about a year, the commission has been working. Now there is a needfor concrete steps.

There are a few steps that must be taken urgentlyTo put itbriefly, trial without detentionshould be the norm. Because detention is an exceptionin our laws. As a requirement of our respect for human rights, they must be releasedand receive treatment immediately.
