Elon Musk, owner of Tesla, SpaceX, and the social media platform X, announced in a statement yesterday that he will donate all revenue generated from advertising and subscriptions on the X platform related to the war in Gaza to hospitals in Israel and the Red Cross/Red Crescent in Gaza.

Making the announcement on his X account, Musk said:

"X Corp will donate all revenue from advertising and subscriptions associated with the war in Gaza to hospitals in Israel and the Red Cross/Red Crescent in Gaza"

"WE SHOULD CARE ABOUT THE INNOCENT"

Following his statement, in response to an X user's question, "It's great that you're going to donate. How do you know the money won't end up in Hamas's hands?", Musk replied as follows:

"We will track how the funds are spent through the Red Cross/Red Crescent. We are open to better ideas. We should care about the innocent regardless of race, creed, religion, or anything else."
