At approximately 08:30, an aircraft crashed into a forested area in the Silgili Yatağı locality of the İncekum neighborhood in Antalya's Manavgat district.
Villagers who spotted the aircraft, which fell about 1 kilometer away from residential areas, reported the incident to the authorities.
While fire, gendarmerie, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene, the villagers who arrived first at the crash site were unable to find anyone during their initial search.
Debris from the exploded aircraft was found in the vicinity, and the villagers performed the initial intervention on the resulting fire.
The teams' efforts are still ongoing.
In a statement issued by the Antalya Governor's Office, it was noted that the possibility of the vehicle being a model aircraft is being investigated, and that its origin and point of departure are being looked into.
In a statement released by the Governor's Office on the X platform, it was stated: "Information regarding an aircraft crash in the İncekum neighborhood of our Alanya district reached our 112 Emergency Call Center at approximately 08:30 today. Upon the arrival of teams at the scene, initial assessments indicate there were no casualties or injuries. The fire that broke out in the forested area as a result of the aircraft's explosion was extinguished by our fire department teams. The possibility that the aircraft in question is a model aircraft is being considered. Necessary investigations regarding its origin and point of departure have been initiated by our teams."
