Airstrike conducted in northern Iraq
The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that 24 targets, including caves, shelters, and depots used by the separatist terrorist organization in the Hakurk, Gara, Kandil, and Asos regions of northern Iraq, were destroyed in an airstrike.

In a written statement issued by the Ministry, it was noted that an airstrike was conducted against terrorist targets in the Hakurk, Gara, Kandil, and Asos regions within the scope of the right to self-defense arising from Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, in order to neutralize the PKK/KCK and other terrorist elements, eliminate terrorist attacks against the public and security forces from northern Iraq, and ensure border security. It was recorded that 24 targets, consisting of caves, shelters, and depots used by the separatist terrorist organization and assessed to contain terrorists at the leadership level, were destroyed.
The statement, which indicated that a large number of terrorists were neutralized in the operation by using the maximum amount of domestic and national ammunition, included the following expressions:
"The Turkish Armed Forces, which emerged from the bosom of our noble nation, will continue the fight against terrorism with determination and resolve until the last terrorist is neutralized, just as it has in the past, for the survival and security of our country and our nation. During this operation, every measure was taken to ensure that innocent people, friendly elements, historical and cultural assets, and the environment were not harmed."
