Akit columnist İdris Günaydın targeted the ceremonies held to commemorate Atatürk on November 10.

Comparing the commemorations to scenes of worship, Günaydın argued that schools should be inspected and regulations should be changed. Here is Günaydın's article:

"The kindergarten and nursery regulation should be reviewed, and the images of children worshipping on days like November 10 should be put to an end.

Some schools are holding programs that are practically like worship rituals for Mustafa Kemal.

They must be basing this on some regulation.

Schools and nurseries must be reviewed. Especially private schools and private nurseries.

What is this? Can one rape the minds of children in a Muslim country as if raping their chastity?
