AKOM has issued a cold weather and precipitation warning for Istanbul for the weekend. It was stated that temperatures will drop to 4-8 degrees, and sleet and snow may be seen in the higher parts of the city.

According to IBB AKOM data, cold and rainy weather will be effective in Istanbul over the weekend.
It is stated that the wind will blow at storm force (40-60 km/h) on Saturday, and at full storm force (80-100 km/h) with short-term gusts starting from the early hours of Sunday. Following this, strong downpours are expected with a sudden temperature drop of 8-10 degrees. It is estimated that the precipitation may be seen as sleet and snow in the higher parts of the city.
