AKOM issues timing: Heavy rainfall warning for Istanbul
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has announced that heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds is expected to affect the city's northern districts.

In a statement released by the IBB-affiliated AKOM, it was noted that intermittent showers are occurring in Istanbul, where air temperatures are hovering around 7 degrees Celsius.
The statement indicated that northerly winds blowing at speeds between 20 and 50 kilometers per hour will be particularly effective in the city's northern districts, and it is estimated that heavy rainfall may occur in Çatalca, Arnavutköy, Eyüpsultan, Sarıyer, Beykoz, and Şile along with the wind.
The statement reported that 15 to 35 kilograms of precipitation per square meter is expected across the city throughout the day.
It was noted that the rainfall is expected to weaken after noon tomorrow.
