The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) announced that strong southwesterly (lodos) and northwesterly (karayel) winds, along with heavy rainfall, would be effective across the city. According to the statement, due to the low-pressure system that began today in the Marmara Region, the wind is expected to blow as a severe storm, and at times a strong storm, from the southwesterly and northwesterly directions.

With the effect of the heavy rainfall accompanying these weather patterns, temperatures are expected to drop by 8-10 degrees. AKOM has called on citizens to be careful and take precautions against adverse weather conditions.
