AKOM warns Istanbul residents with specific date: Snow is returning, temperatures to drop by 6 degrees

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has released a new weather report.
According to the AKOM report, rainy weather will be effective in Istanbul as of today (February 15). The statement, which noted that a new cold wave will arrive starting Monday, said, "Temperatures are expected to drop by 3 to 6 degrees, returning to winter levels."
While showers and light rain are expected until Tuesday, snowfall is forecast to begin as of Wednesday.
The statement made by the IMM's AKOM is as follows:
"As of today, rainy weather is expected to be effective in our region. With the start of the new week (Monday), a new cold wave is expected to affect our region, and temperatures are projected to drop by 3 to 6 degrees, returning to winter levels."
