AKP and DEM Party reach agreement for local elections in Bala: 'We spoke, they will vote for us'

With only days left until the local elections, while claims of an alliance between the CHP and DEM Party are being discussed on news channels, an AKP figure has announced an agreement with the DEM Party.

The agreement between the AKP and the DEM Party came to light through a question posed to AKP Bala Mayor Ahmet Buran by a presenter before a broadcast.

Buran, responding to the presenter who asked him before the broadcast, "Shall we ask about the DEM Party?", replied, "They are not going to the polls. They left it open; we spoke with those in Bala, they will vote for us."

STATEMENT HAD COME FROM DEM PARTY

DEM Party Ankara Metropolitan Municipality co-mayoral candidate Öztürk Türkdoğan had announced that as the DEM Party, they had fielded co-mayoral candidates in 24 out of 27 districts in Ankara, but had not fielded co-mayoral candidates in Ankara's Yenimahalle, Polatlı, and Bala districts.

With this move by the DEM Party, it had been claimed that Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş was being supported.

However, speaking with the program presenter before a live broadcast on KON TV today, AKP's Bala Mayor Ahmet Buran said that DEM Party supporters would vote for him.
