AKP District Chair candidate for HSK, Ergüneş, appointed
The AKP Istanbul Provincial Presidency announced that İsmail Ergüneş has been appointed as the District Chair for Gaziosmanpaşa following consultations with the Headquarters Organization Presidency. Two weeks ago, Ergüneş had been put to a vote in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) as a candidate for a seat on the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK).

DEVA Party Deputy Chair and Mersin MP Mehmet Emin Ekmen recalled that Ergüneş had been put to a vote in the TBMM General Assembly as a candidate for an HSK membership just two weeks ago, and stated the following:
"When AK Party members were elected as Constitutional Court members, this was criticized. Then these transitions became routine. Today, Mr. İsmail Ergüneş, who was appointed as the Istanbul Gaziosmanpaşa District Chair, had been put to a vote in the TBMM General Assembly as a candidate for a seat on the Council of Judges and Prosecutors just two weeks ago. They do not even feel the need for a waiting period for such an appointment. Is it really not found strange by anyone in the AK Party that these transitions are so easy and rapid?"
