Deputy Chairman in Charge of Organization Erkan Kandemir became a target of criticism after the March 31 local elections. It began to spread quickly within the party that, in private meetings held after the elections, Kandemir had specifically voiced that Istanbul Provincial Chair Osman Nuri Kabaktepe had always remained in the background during election campaigns and did not appeal to the general public.
