At an event organized by the AKP Istanbul Provincial Presidency at the Bahçelievler Congress Center under the theme "Being One in Istanbul," the work carried out in the post-congress period was discussed.

Speaking at the program, AKP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Abdullah Özdemir argued that there has been an increase in vote shares since they took office. Özdemir made assessments regarding the party's current situation and poll results.

Özdemir used the following expressions in his speech:

"When we took office, the AK Party's vote share was only 32.6%. Our People's Alliance partners are not included here. We have now risen to 36.2%. We believe that when the economic recovery shows itself in 2026, our unrivaled AK Party will widen the gap. In our Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) poll, while we were at 35.5% in the survey we conducted 1 year after the elections, we have currently risen to 41.7% as the AK Party alone. While the average vote share of our district municipalities was 46.1% in the 2024 local elections, it rose to 44.6% last year. We see that it has reached 51.8% in the new poll we conducted. Hopefully, we will carry this picture much higher."
