AKP figures have issued a series of reactions to the remarks made by CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır regarding President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

AKP Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik stated, "The CHP leadership has now turned themselves into a 'center for the production of hostility.' We condemn the attacks by this cadre of hostility against our President, our People's Alliance, and our party. We will respond to these immoral attacks without compromise on the grounds of politics and law."
In a post he shared, Çelik assessed that "the discourse devoid of morality from those speaking on behalf of the CHP has turned into aggression against all values of politics and democracy," and noted the following:
"Those managing the CHP are acting like a 'network of hostility' in the name of opposition. We will not allow this network of hostility to seize the gains of our nation. The CHP leadership has ceased to be managers of a 'political party' and has turned into a 'center for the production of hostility.' We condemn the attacks by this cadre of hostility against our President, our People's Alliance, and our party. We will respond to these immoral attacks without compromise on the grounds of politics and law."
ANOTHER REACTION CAME FROM AKP'S ALA
AKP Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala stated, "This low-level form of address directed at the respected offices of our Republic, especially the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, is a typical manifestation of spewing hatred under the guise of opposition."
Ala reacted to the statements made by CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır.
Stating that "the latest delusions of CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır unfortunately reveal once again that politics is being increasingly polluted by the language of low-level and cheap agitation," Ala indicated that the tone used by Başarır is completely devoid of the elegance of democratic competition and the nobility of intellectual struggle, resembling not politics, but street-level thuggery.
Efkan Ala noted the following: "This vulgarity, this lack of level, shows the baseness and level of depravity of its owner. We return it in kind. This low-level form of address directed at the respected offices of our Republic, especially the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, is a typical manifestation of spewing hatred under the guise of opposition. Moreover, this attitude turns politics from an intellectual struggle into an arena of hatred. This is, above all, a disrespect to the people he claims to represent. Başarır's language has crossed the boundaries of criticism and turned into an aggression and vulgarity that has lost its moral legitimacy. Democracy grows with ideas, not insults; opposition gains meaning with vision, not ugly words. However, it is clear that some think politics is masking their own intellectual inadequacy with such ugly expressions."
Underlining that the honor of politics is hidden in the dignity of discourse, Ala assessed, "This tone of Başarır harms both his own party and our political tradition. The nation knows very well who is honestly talking about the country's issues and who is playing a role behind the scenes with anger and hatred. This country will no longer allow a rotten mentality to be cloaked in political legitimacy. Real politics relies on the dignity of ideas, not street jargon. This is exactly what people like Başarır do not understand."
"LANGUAGE OF HATE THAT LOWERS THE LEVEL OF POLITICS"
AKP Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Yayman stated, "It is clear what CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır wants to say; he does not possess the subtle intelligence to play with words. The insolent and arrogant expressions he uses are the latest example of a language of hate that lowers the level of politics."
Yayman reacted to the statements made by CHP Group Deputy Chairman Başarır.
Assessing that "it is clear what CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır wants to say; he does not possess the subtle intelligence to play with words. The insolent and arrogant expressions he uses are the latest example of a language of hate that lowers the level of politics," Yayman expressed that those who came to power as a result of a dubious party congress have nothing of value to say regarding Turkish politics.
Hüseyin Yayman noted the following: "Those who have received the necessary response from the nation in every election for over 20 years are still acting with the same hatred, the same malice, and the same intolerance. The CHP has not been able to come to power alone for exactly 75 years. Because our nation knows very well what you are made of. This mentality, which cannot digest democracy and cannot accept the nation's preference, thinks that producing insults instead of producing ideas is politics. Courtesy, decency, honor, political morality. These have been erased from the opposition's dictionary. The CHP does not advocate democratic opposition, but a very clear understanding of hostility. Our nation knows very well both how to protect the President it elected with its own vote and how to give the strongest response at the ballot box to those who do not know their place. The honor of Turkish politics lies in the dignity of discourse and the sincerity of service. We will continue to produce works for this country, to serve the nation, and to build the Century of Turkey. Not those who are rabid, who slander, or who are dishonorable, but those who are in love with their nation and loyal to their state will win. The CHP will lose, our nation will win."
"WE VEHEMENTLY REJECT IT"
AKP Deputy Chairman Ali İhsan Yavuz stated, "The extremely inappropriate and insolent expressions of CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır towards our President unfortunately lower the level of politics."
In his post, Yavuz noted the following: "The extremely inappropriate and insolent expressions of CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır towards our President unfortunately lower the level of politics. The ugly tone he uses is far from political courtesy and normal human approach, and is practically a psychological case. We vehemently reject such low-level and ugly rhetoric in politics. Our nation has given the necessary response to this mentality at the ballot box in every election, and hopefully, it will continue to do so."
REACTION FROM COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR DURAN TO STATEMENTS BY CHP POLITICIANS
Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran stated, "The recent statements by some CHP politicians targeting our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and containing insults openly destroy the ground of democratic politics. This state of temper tantrum that the CHP has made a habit of is also condemned by our nation."
In his statement, Duran indicated that criticism is in the nature of democratic political competition, but insults are not.
Communications Director Duran noted the following: "Turning criticism into a spiral of insults causes severe damage to the spirit of democracy. The recent statements by some CHP politicians targeting our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and containing insults openly destroy the ground of democratic politics. This state of temper tantrum that the CHP has made a habit of is also condemned by our nation."
