AKP Group Deputy Chair Gül: The opposition is used to the red card: He made a 'Erdoğan in 2028' statement
Deputy Minister of Family and Social Services Sevim Sayim Madak and AKP Group Deputy Chair and Gaziantep MP Abdulhamit Gül attended the 7th Ordinary Congress of the AKP Kastamonu Provincial Women's Branch. In his speech there, Gül criticized the CHP's 'red card' reaction.

Speaking at the congress held at the Hüsnü Tandoğan Sports Hall, Gül said, “Turkey is no longer the old Turkey; it is the new Turkey. It ended the era of bans and blocked them. Now, both those with headscarves and those without are working together fraternally to further develop Turkey.
Today, there are teachers with headscarves, judges with headscarves, and members of parliament with headscarves. We are proud of this today.
Our nation has struggled against this exclusionary mentality that targets Turkey's unity and solidarity, and against the anti-religious and anti-freedom mindset. We say once again from here that there is absolutely no place in this Turkey for those who want to reimpose obstacles before women, faith, religion, and the practice of these. Our nation will not allow this,” he said.
"THIS NATION SHOWS THEM THE RED CARD IN EVERY ELECTION"
Criticizing CHP Chairman Özgür Özel for showing a red card, Gül said, “He cannot see the opposition as a source of hope. How could he? You look at the developments happening all over the world, in Syria. The leader of the main opposition comes out and says, 'Turkey should establish contact and hold talks with Assad.' While even his own family cannot establish contact with Assad, and while his prime minister says he cannot establish contact, the main opposition of this country comes out and says, 'Establish contact with Assad.' This is the extent of their foreign policy vision. They have a structure and approach that is visionless and incompetent.
Now, the whole world appreciates Turkey's efforts in its Syria policy. They appreciate our President's initiatives. Know how to take pride in matters concerning our nation; these are not matters of partisanship, these are not matters of politics. In matters above politics, take pride in the crescent-and-star flag of Turkey waving in Damascus and in a free Syria.
This is not politics or partisanship. Everyone should take pride in matters that are for the benefit of the country. The leader of the main opposition pulled out a red card and said, 'I have a surprise for you tomorrow with great pride.' What was the surprise? Pulling a red card out of his pocket when the time came. He is showing this red card to the government, to Tayyip Erdoğan, saying, 'they will go.' They are used to the red card.
Because this nation shows them the red card they carry in their pockets in every election. It will continue to show it in every election. That is why the red cards are wandering in these gentlemen's pockets. We believe in the refereeing of the nation.
You go to VAR, you go to the referee; if there is a deficiency in your actions, the nation gives its vote. It watches you for 5 years and then you go to the nation's refereeing. And the nation decides. With God's permission, we have always appeared before our nation with our heads held high,” he said.
"WE WILL CONTINUE OUR PATH WITH ERDOĞAN"
Stating that they will resolutely take steps to further grow the economy in Turkey, Gül said, “We will continue to resolutely take steps to maintain freedoms more strongly. One of them is the implementation of a new and civil constitution.
We believe and hope that in 2025, Turkey will finally be rid of the coup plotters' constitution. Hopefully, it will attain a new, civil, and democratic constitution that is the nation's constitution. As the AK Party, we will be the determined followers of this. Because our nation is now saying, 'I want to make my own constitution.'
We will hopefully implement together a constitution that it can call 'this is my constitution.' We will continue our efforts for this. The AK Party has corrected these exclusionary mentalities with regulations and laws when necessary, but some freedoms and developments in this sense also need to be under the guarantee of the constitution.
That is why we still have work to do; without falling into complacency and without saying we have done everything, the AK Party has much more to do for this country. Erdoğan has much more to do for this country. That is why we will continue our path with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in 2028. We will continue to serve,” he stated.
"WE WILL BUILD A STRONG TURKEY"
Deputy Minister of Family and Social Services Sevim Sayim Madak stated that as a ministry, they provide services in Kastamonu with 691 residential capacity across 32 institutions and 534 personnel. Stating that women take part in every field of society, Madak said, “Our women are the greatest power behind the growth, development, and progress of this country. With the 2025 Year of the Family vision, we will protect our ancient values, make our families stronger, add even more value to our women, and prepare our children for a healthier future. By strengthening our family, we will also strengthen society. Because we will build a strong Turkey with a strong family,” she expressed.
AK Party Headquarters Women's Branch Deputy Chair Züleyha Karademir also said, “It is very important that the first women's rally was held in Kastamonu. That is where the foundation of our excitement from the first day was laid.”
