AKP's Istanbul district chairs have been determined

The AKP's 8th Ordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress will be held on February 7, 2025, at the Basketball Development Center. At the congress, AKP Istanbul Provincial Chair Osman Nuri Kabaktepe will hand over his duties to Provincial Chair Candidate Abdullah Özdemir. While preparations continue for the Istanbul provincial congress, which has drawn significant attention within the AKP, the district congresses were completed at an intense pace. The process, which began in Esenler on December 28, 2024, concluded with a final program held in Fatih on January 19, 2025.

NEW DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIONS ARE ON THE JOB

While there was high participation in the election process of the congresses, the new management teams for the district organizations were determined. The main bodies, chairs, deputies, and board members have begun their duties. The Women's Branch and Youth Branch chairs also took over their duties for the new term and posed for photos with the organization.

MESSAGE OF UNITY FROM KABAKTEPE AND ÖZDEMİR

AKP Istanbul Provincial Chair Osman Nuri Kabaktepe and Provincial Chair Candidate Abdullah Özdemir, who attended the district congresses together, received great applause from the organization members. The duo, who gave messages of unity and solidarity at every congress, were given a standing ovation by party members for minutes.

“WE WILL CARRY OUR CAUSE FURTHER”

Osman Nuri Kabaktepe, who is preparing to hand over his duty, stated in his speech that they will continue to serve under the leadership of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Thanking all organization members who have contributed in the past, Kabaktepe expressed his belief that the new administrations will achieve successful work. He expressed his wish that the congresses would be beneficial for the districts, Istanbul, and the nation.

“WE WILL CARRY THE FLAG OF SERVICE HIGHER”

Abdullah Özdemir, who is a candidate for the position, said that they will carry the flag of service they are taking over even further. Özdemir said, “I thank our brothers who are handing over the duty. In the new term, we will work day and night together to both grow our party and make it even stronger.” He also emphasized his belief that the party will come in first in the 2028 Presidential elections and that they will hand over the key to Istanbul to President Erdoğan in 2029.
