AKP Mayor Tiryaki, who assaulted a worker, makes harsh remarks about his AKP predecessor

Altındağ Mayor Veysel Tiryaki (AKP), who recently made headlines for physically assaulting workers he had fired, has targeted his predecessor, former AKP Mayor Asım Balcı. Tiryaki stated, "I took over a finished, exhausted municipality."

Altındağ Mayor Veysel Tiryaki (AKP) has become the center of attention again, this time with harsh remarks directed at his predecessor, former AKP Mayor Asım Balcı, following the physical assault he committed against workers he had dismissed. 

According to a report by İsmail Arı from BirGün, Tiryaki targeted Balcı, saying, "I am getting a finished, exhausted municipality back on its feet." 

Speaking at the Municipal Council meeting, Tiryaki used the following expressions: 

"- There is an 860 million TL debt to the Social Security Institution (SSK); if we don't pay it, this will become 2 billion TL, and the person who comes after me won't be able to handle it.

- I am saying it, look, I took it over from the AK Party... I am getting a finished, exhausted municipality back on its feet.

 - We took over the municipality with a debt of 1 billion 132 million TL. Because we could not pay this debt, it became 1 billion 300 million TL with interest. In other words, the debt I took over is actually 1 billion 300 million TL right now.

- For five years (2019-2024), no construction machinery was purchased. A rental method was used. When I left, there were seven excavators; now there are three. We currently have a serious need for trucks, of course, we couldn't get to the trucks because of the cleaning vehicles..."
