AKP's Şamil Tayyar challenges Kılıçdaroğlu ruling: 'I won't go either'
The court-ordered forced appearance of former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who is being tried on charges of insulting the lawyer of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has been revoked. Former AKP MP Şamil Tayyar reacted to the revocation of the decision.

Tayyar reacted sharply to the lifting of the forced appearance order for former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Stating, "Will Kılıçdaroğlu never go to court? Is he above the law?" Tayyar said, "I am announcing it here: until Kılıçdaroğlu goes to court, I will not comply with any court summons either. Challenge accepted."
Saying, "Let's sit straight and speak straight," Şamil Tayyar made the following statement:
'HE HAS NO IMMUNITY'
As we said, we will call a spade a spade. A lawsuit has been filed against Kılıçdaroğlu. He has no immunity; he is an ordinary citizen like me. The court invited him 6 times, and he persistently refused to go to testify. Normally, a court shows tolerance for one or two refusals of a summons; here we see that Kılıçdaroğlu's failure to appear was overlooked 6 times because he served as chairman. Following the reactions, the court revoked the 'forced appearance' order against Kılıçdaroğlu.
'IS KILIÇDAROĞLU ABOVE THE LAW?'
What will happen now? Will Kılıçdaroğlu never go to court? Is he above the law? When I was an MP in 2016 and my immunity was lifted, half my day was spent in courthouses; we ran to every summons, we didn't defy them. He was an MP, and so was I.
'CHALLENGE ACCEPTED'
I am announcing it here: until Kılıçdaroğlu goes to court, I will not comply with any court summons either. Challenge accepted.
