‘Imrali’ warning to the People’s Alliance from AKP’s Şamil Tayyar! 'Those who appear in the same frame as Öcalan...'

Former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar emphasized that there was very serious support for the second resolution process, dubbed 'Terror-Free Turkey,' but that support for the process has diminished as terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan has been made the 'main actor.' Stressing that new alliances could emerge in the coming period, Tayyar commented, “We will understand who wins when it is time for the ballot box, but so far, we have not witnessed those who appear in the same photo frame as Öcalan winning.”

MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli is the architect of the second resolution process, which the government has named ‘Terror-Free Turkey,’ and the commission established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) has decided to visit Imrali. The CHP, however, announced in a statement made before the commission's Imrali vote that it would not go to terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan.

While the commission's decision to visit Imrali remains on the agenda, a remarkable statement has come from former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar.

"MAKING ÖCALAN THE MAIN ACTOR IS REDUCING SUPPORT FOR THE PROCESS"

Posting on his X account, Tayyar claimed that there was serious support for the resolution process. However, he emphasized that making the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, Abdullah Öcalan, the main actor has caused support for the process to decrease.

"NEW ALLIANCES MAY COME TO THE AGENDA"

Noting that those responsible for the process could face a very heavy political bill in the coming period, Tayyar stated that new alliances could also come to the agenda.

"WE HAVE NOT WITNESSED THOSE WHO APPEAR IN THE SAME FRAME AS ÖCALAN WINNING"

At the end of his statement, Tayyar used the expressions, “We will understand who wins when it is time for the ballot box, but so far, we have not witnessed those who appear in the same photo frame as Öcalan winning.”

“There is very serious support for the Terror-Free Turkey project.

As Öcalan gets involved in the matter, especially as he becomes the main actor, support is rapidly decreasing.

It may seem like a contradiction, but social sensitivity is balanced on this fine line.

Political success also seems to depend on this balance.

Otherwise, those responsible for the process could face a very heavy political bill.

The decision to visit Imrali shows that this threshold has now been crossed and that every party is bearing the risk that falls to its share.

This risk map is also deeply affecting the political spectrum.

New alliances and new collaborations may come to the agenda.

Because, in classic terms, we see that the cards are being reshuffled.

We will understand who wins when it is time for the ballot box, but so far, we have not witnessed those who appear in the same photo frame as Öcalan winning.”
