Former AKP Mayor of Ağrı Savcı Sayan drew attention with a statement he made on his social media account on the day the process commission meeting was held. Sayan stated that he supports the "terror-free Turkey" rhetoric but that they are against the process progressing with Öcalan at the center.

The commission established within the scope of the new resolution process held its first meeting at the Turkish Grand National Assembly yesterday. The commission was named the National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission.

Former AKP Mayor of Ağrı Savcı Sayan made remarkable comments regarding the commission and the process.

In the video he shared with the note, "We are not against a 'terror-free Turkey.' We are against handing the Kurds over to Abdullah Öcalan under the name of a 'terror-free Turkey'!", Sayan stated the following:

"Excuse me, but we are not part of that. You are going to hand over all the Kurds in Turkey to Abdullah Öcalan and his team. Abdullah Öcalan and his team will sit at the table with Turkey and say, 'Sir, I am defending Kurdish rights. Kurds will be like this, they will be like that.'

And we will remain spectators. Abdullah Öcalan, who is a Marxist, Leninist, atheist, who currently states that he has not abandoned socialism, and who says he will carry out all the operations that are a continuation of Marx, will be the representative of us Naqshbandi Kurds, Muslim Kurds, pious Kurds, Kurds who are attached to their traditions and customs, Kurds who have defended Turkish-Kurdish brotherhood for years, and who stand by their state, flag, and nation; he will rule us, he will establish dominance over us, by marketing us, just as he previously marketed all Kurds to other states.

Now he will open a space for himself through the Kurds in Turkey. And the man says, it is in the Imralı meeting minutes. The man says, 'I will gather the DEM, I will hold the DEM's congress, I will change the party's name to the Democratic Republic Party, I will gather the leftists, I will form a socialist structure.'"
