Former AKP Gaziantep MP Şamil Tayyar targeted CHP Group Deputy Chair Ali Mahir Başarır, who said, "In the first elections, the President of the Republic of Turkey will be in Silivri."
In his speech at the Bursa Provincial Congress, CHP Group Deputy Chair and Mersin MP Ali Mahir Başarır stated, "In the first elections, the President of the Republic of Turkey will be in Silivri."
Başarır included the following statements in his speech:
"Whether we are arrested, tried, tear-gassed, beaten with batons, threatened, whether they burst or explode, whether the gentleman goes mad or the gentleman goes rabid, in the first elections, the President of the Republic of Turkey will be in Silivri. We will win, we will all win together. We will establish a new system, a new order. This political struggle is a struggle between the honorable and the dishonorable."
DEMANDED INTERVENTION AGAINST BAŞARIR
Başarır's remarks, "Whether we are arrested, tried, tear-gassed, beaten with batons, threatened, whether they burst or explode, whether the gentleman goes mad or the gentleman goes rabid, in the first elections, the President of the Republic of Turkey will be in Silivri," drew a reaction from former AKP MP Şamil Tayyar.
Reacting to Başarır on his social media account, Tayyar called on the AKP to lift the CHP Group Deputy Chair's parliamentary immunity.
Stating that the reactions of AKP figures toward Başarır were insufficient, Tayyar said, "It is time for action," and used the following expressions:
"The insults directed at our President by this degenerate, this incompetent and ambitious person named Ali Mahir Başarır, are not one, not two. He is constantly insulting. He is not just attacking our President; he is attacking everyone left and right like an amok runner. He is in a state of frenzy. There is much to be said, but it would be a waste."
"Furthermore, the real fault lies with the AK Party. Despite all his insults, they do not lift his immunity and hand him over to the judiciary. Excuse me, if you do not open the path to the judiciary, he will use his immunity as a shield for his insults, and you will just be trading barbs. It is time for action."
