A decision has been reached regarding news anchor Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, who had been in custody since December 2025 as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The court ruled for Cebeci's release under judicial control measures in the form of "house arrest."

Following this decision, a noteworthy post came from AKP's Tayyar.

Reminding the public of Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who was arrested as part of the same investigation, Tayyar stated that "justice must be applied equally" and called for Ersoy's release.

TAYYAR USED THE FOLLOWING EXPRESSIONS:

"News anchor Ela Rümeysa Cebeci has been released under judicial control.

Considering the releases of Can Holding, Istanbul Gold Refinery, and Rezan Epözdemir, and remembering those whose doors cannot even be knocked on, she stayed inside for too long as it is.

Mehmet Akif Ersoy should also be released.

What is the additional reason for keeping him inside?

In a place where the mayor of Ceyhan was released, the mayor of Seyhan, who is inside for a similar crime, should also be tried without arrest.

What is the difference?

Justice must be applied equally to everyone, and if there are those who go beyond the routine, the necessary action must be taken.

If we do not want the public conscience to be harmed..."
