CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had made striking allegations regarding Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek during a live broadcast he attended, claiming that Gürlek had recorded his phone conversations with AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan.
While this claim by Özel was denied by Minister Gürlek, a reaction to the allegations also came from AKP's Şamil Tayyar.
In a statement on his social media account, Tayyar interpreted these claims by Özel as 'mental distress'.
Here is that post by Şamil Tayyar:
"Özgür Özel's insistence on the 'wiretapping' claim points to a problem beyond an effort to create political polemics.
Logically, he himself cannot believe the nonsense that our Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek listened to our President and kept the recordings in a bank vault.
If he does believe it.
Someone within the party may have set a trap for Özel, leading him to voice a technically impossible claim and driving him toward a cliff.
Or it could be thought that he has been dragged into a vortex of fabulation.
This is serious mental distress and requires treatment.
Clearly, he is very overwhelmed and is pressing all the buttons."
Özgür Özel’in ‘telekulak’ iddiasındaki ısrarı, siyasi polemik üretme çabasından öte bir soruna işaret ediyor.

Adalet Bakanımız Akın Gürlek’in Cumhurbaşkanımızı dinlediği, kayıtları bir banka kasasında sakladığı saçmalığına kendisi de inanmıyordur, mantıken.
Eğer, inanıyorsa.…
