A release decision has been issued for Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar after 8.5 months.
Following the decision in question, AKP's Şamil Tayyar commented that it was 'correct and appropriate'.
Tayyar wrote the following:
"The release decision for Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar is a correct and appropriate decision.
Karalar tried to defend himself on legal grounds instead of engaging in political polemics regarding the accusations leveled against him at every opportunity.
Furthermore, even if he were found guilty and sentenced, he would have only served this much time.
Justice is good."
