While offering criticisms regarding the current agenda and also taking a hard line against the AKP, Şamil Tayyar this time criticized the new resolution process, noting that long-awaited steps have not been taken.

Targeting DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan over statements made in an interview, Tayyar warned that the process would be derailed by such remarks and emphasized the need to learn from the past.

In his post, Tayyar stated the following:

"The terrorist organization PKK declared a ceasefire on March 1 and decided to dissolve and lay down its arms on May 12.

So far, it has not fulfilled any of these commitments.

In the last 4 months, the PKK has carried out dozens of terrorist acts, especially in Iraq. In the latest drone attack, 10 of our soldiers, including 2 first lieutenants, were wounded.

It has not laid down a single weapon yet. The YPG still maintains its presence.

More gravely, according to Tuncer Bakırhan's statement; the DEM Party is touring abroad with 3/5 delegations, trying to create international pressure on Turkey.

They specifically want the UK to get involved. They claim the UK has experience and influence in the region.

True, it is quite experienced!

It is the architect, along with France, of the Sykes-Picot agreement, which drew new maps by partitioning Ottoman lands in the Middle East with a ruler.

Have you learned nothing from the past?

When will you ever learn?"
