In Ankara's Kahramankazan district, 5 people were martyred and 22 were injured in a terrorist attack on TUSAŞ facilities. Following the attack, many countries sent messages of condolence and condemnation.
AK Party Elazığ MP Ejder Açıkkapı said he did not find the condolences from the US and European countries sincere. In his statement, Açıkkapı said:
“It does not seem very sincere for the US and many European states to condemn this terrorist incident that occurred in Turkey after having provided material and moral support to terrorist organizations on the one hand.”
“The timing of the attack is noteworthy. TUSAŞ is the locomotive and the apple of the eye of our defense industry. We all know the significant share of the products manufactured here in the development of our national defense industry.
(…) The YPG-PYD is nothing other than the PKK. I want to state here that changing the letters, no matter how much the letters of the alphabet are rearranged from A to Z, does not mean anything; in other words, changing the letters here does not cause them to lose their status as a terrorist organization, nor does it hide it.”
