AKP MP Ensarioğlu speaks on Narin's family: 'I have a 40-year friendship with the family, not everyone is guilty'

The lifeless body of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who had not been heard from since leaving a Quran course with her friends on August 21 in Tavşantepe Village, Bağlar District of Diyarbakır, has been found. The little girl's body was discovered in a stream bed where search efforts had been concentrated over the last 3 days.

While a detailed investigation into the suspects of Narin's murder continues, AKP MP Galip Ensarioğlu also made striking statements regarding the atrocity.

AKP Diyarbakır MP Galip Ensarioğlu spoke to Sözcü TV about the Narin murder. Ensarioğlu used the following expressions:

'NOT EVERYONE IS GUILTY'

“One should not overlook something because the eyes of all of Turkey are on this incident. For this reason, there is an intense detention situation. There are family members among the 21 people detained, but the family does not consist of just one person. Even if there are one or two people in the family who are suspects and turn out to be guilty tomorrow or the next day, it is not right to look at the whole family with the same eyes or think the same thing.

It is a large family, but if there is a crime, not everyone is guilty. This is not something that could happen with a family decision, this brutal murder of our daughter. There is certainly no such thing. It would be good to wait a day or two to get a definitive result regarding the atrocity.

'I HAVE A 40-YEAR FRIENDSHIP WITH THE FAMILY'

I have a 40-year friendship with the family. We know almost all the individuals in the family.

There is a lot of speculation on social media against the family. Some have wanted to address the issue through their political views; this is a very ugly thing. One must keep politics away from this incident.

What could politics have to do with this? It is very ugly to smear a political party or gain rent through this.

There are those who say the family are Hezbollah supporters, but the family comes from the Welfare Party tradition. In the past, when I was the provincial chairman of the True Path Party, there were uncles of theirs who served in my administration. There are also family members who have been in the IYI Party and the AK Party.

They also have a nephew who is currently in the AK Party district administration. It is a family close to the center-right. It is a family that is not at the extremes. It is also a very shameful thing to express this. This matter has nothing to do with politics. This is entirely a matter of conscience and humanity.”

'THESE ARE THE CULTURE OF AMERICA AND ISRAEL'

HÜDA-PAR General Administrative Board Member Vedat Turgut also visited Narin Güran's relatives in front of the Forensic Medicine Institute in Diyarbakır and gave a speech.

Saying, "If a person kills someone without any reason, their place is eternal hell," Turgut stated that what happened did not belong to Islamic culture and pointed to Europe, the USA, and Israel.

Turgut's words, "These are not our culture, these are the culture of Europe, America, and Israel," drew attention. Here are those words of Turgut that drew reaction:

'THESE ARE NOT OUR CULTURE'

"According to our faith, let alone a child, killing even one person for no reason is a cause for eternal hell. That is, if a person kills someone without any reason, their place is eternal hell. These are children, they are innocent, they are infants. If the earth were to shake, if stones were to rain down on us, we would deserve it.

That is why the Islamic world is in such turmoil, look at the state of Palestine, Syria, Iraq, all of us. Whenever we turn to each other, whenever we love each other, whenever we value and cherish each other, such things will not emerge among us. Such savagery and vandalism will not emerge from within us. These are not our culture, these are the culture of Europe, America, and Israel. We need to investigate who introduced this culture among us and for what purpose. May God give us all patience."
