The AKP Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting, chaired by President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has concluded. AK Party Spokesperson and Deputy Chairman Ömer Çelik is making statements following the meeting.

Here are the highlights from the speech by AK Party Spokesperson and Deputy Chairman Ömer Çelik:

"We learned that 2 of our citizens lost their lives in a fire that broke out in a city in Germany. We extend our condolences. We are following the matter closely.

During our meeting, our organization presidency, media, and R&D presidencies gave presentations. The calendar has begun to proceed.

The anniversary of the September 12 coup was recently marked. On its 44th anniversary, we continue to discuss the damage this coup inflicted on Turkey. As time passes, it is seen that this coup was a foreign-backed project aimed at stealing Turkey's national sovereignty. All coups are claimed to be for the sake of establishing peace. How is it that this peace was not restored after the coup while the same powers were in charge? It is very clear that it was planned to achieve a specific goal.

'THE CONSTITUTION HAS TURNED INTO A PATCHWORK'

Turkey must be rid of this coup constitution. We need a civilian constitution. Over the years, this constitution has changed significantly and turned into a patchwork. Despite changes to many articles, it is clear that a civilian constitution, drafted with a civilian perspective to protect the constitutional order and freedoms, is a necessity—more than a necessity, it is an obligation. Sincerity in democracy means supporting this preparation. Attitudes that lock the system are being put forward like tactical maneuvers.

Our organization presidency's 'Turkey Meetings' have begun. Our colleagues have taken to the field. We express our gratitude to our brothers and sisters in the AK Party organizations. Our organizations are the apple of our eye."

'FROM NORMALIZATION TO SUPPORTING THOSE WHO INSULT CITIZENS'

Politics is the highest form of social activity. The sole supervisor of politics is the citizen. If a politician chooses certain power centers other than the citizen as their supervisor, they lose their legitimacy as a politician.

It is seen that the drift within the CHP is being pushed aside by the citizens. They have moved from reconciliation to normalization, and from normalization to supporting those who insult citizens. It is the AK Party that will lead Turkey into the Century of Turkey.

We bid farewell to Ayşenur Ezgi with prayers. Our condolences to everyone who supports Gaza. Those who gave this order must be tried. When some media outlets mention Ayşenur, they call her a 'militant' in the face of this massacre. They call everyone who defends justice a militant. Their souls and minds have been corrupted.
