AKP's group proposal accepted, Parliament's agenda changed

The TBMM General Assembly, which determines the work schedule for the coming weeks, has accepted the group proposal submitted by the AKP. With this decision, the order of certain legislative proposals on the agenda was changed, and it was decided that the General Assembly would continue its work on specific days until the deliberations are completed.

ORDER OF PROPOSALS ON THE AGENDA CHANGED

In line with the accepted proposal, legislative proposals numbered 266, 277, and 279, which were in the "Legislative Proposals and Other Business from Committees" section of the agenda, were moved to the 1st, 3rd, and 4th positions, respectively. The order of other agenda items was rearranged accordingly.

In today's session, the General Assembly will not break until the deliberations on the "Draft Law on Amendments to Certain Laws," which includes regulations regarding the Police Organization and the press, are completed.

ELECTION OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE COURT OF ACCOUNTS TO BE HELD

In the session to be held on Wednesday, June 24, the General Assembly will first conduct the election for the President of the Court of Accounts, which is in the "Elections" section of the agenda. Following the completion of the election, work will continue in the same session until the deliberations on the Draft Law on Amendments to the Specialist Sergeant Law and Certain Laws are concluded.

INTENSIVE WORK UNTIL THE BEGINNING OF JULY

The TBMM General Assembly will address the Turkish Red Crescent (Türk Kızılay) Draft Law on Thursday, June 25. Work will continue until the deliberations on the legislative proposals numbered 223 on Tuesday, June 30, 237 on Wednesday, July 1, and 242 on Thursday, July 2, are completed.

ENERGY AGREEMENT WITH SAUDI ARABIA ENACTED

Furthermore, an open vote was held in the General Assembly for the "Draft Law on the Approval of the Intergovernmental Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Regarding Renewable Energy Power Plant Projects."

As a result of the vote, the proposal was accepted and enacted into law. In the vote where a total of 290 votes were cast, 233 deputies voted in favor, and 52 deputies voted against. Five deputies abstained.
