AKP's reaction to Özgür Özel regarding 'AK Youth': Mr. Özel's political record lacks the capacity to criticize AK Youth

AKP Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik targeted the statements made by CHP's elected Chairman Özgür Özel regarding 'AK Youth' in a post on social media.

AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik targeted CHP Chairman Özgür Özel on social media after Özel said, "They are in his party, still glorifying Erdoğan, his regime, his harshness, his arrogance, and his bans; that is 'AK Youth'. Can these people have anything to do with youth?"

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had reacted to 'AK Youth' at today's group meeting, saying: "I am addressing the young people who show interest from time to time when we say 'a Turkey without bans, a Europe without visas'...

On the other hand, there is something like this: they are in his party, still glorifying Tayyip Erdoğan, his regime, his harshness, his arrogance, and his bans; that is 'AK Youth'. Can these people have anything to do with youth?" he said.

RESPONSE TO ÖZEL FROM AKP'S ÖMER ÇELİK

A response to these statements by Özel came from AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik.

Targeting Özel in a post on his X account, Çelik used the following expressions:

"AK YOUTH has been raised in the school of politics of our esteemed President and Chairman. 

It carries this political line forward every day with very high energy. In this sense, AK Youth is a unique political school among youth movements in the world. 

The political record of Mr. Özgür Özel and his team is clear. This record does not have the ability or capacity to criticize AK Youth. Mr. Özgür Özel's frequent targeting of AK Youth is an indication of how disconnected he is from the world of young people. 

AK Youth continues to take steps that embrace our country and the world in line with our President's political path. 

It would be a healthier approach for Özgür Özel and his team to 'learn politics' from AK Youth instead of targeting them."
