AKP's Şamil Tayyar explains the friction between DEM and Bahçeli: 'It is disturbing...'

The new resolution process, which began with the moves and calls made by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli since the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), continues to maintain its place on the agenda.

The DEM Party delegation, which went to İmralı on December 28 to meet with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, also met with Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ, who are imprisoned, following their visits to the TBMM. All eyes have turned to the second visit the DEM Party will make to İmralı.

In his party's latest group meeting, Bahçeli demanded that a call to lay down arms be announced unconditionally following the second İmralı visit to be made by the DEM Party.

Former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar made evaluations regarding Bahçeli's second İmralı call and the attitude of the DEM Party.

"DEM'S STALLING ATTITUDE IS DISTURBING BAHÇELİ"

Tayyar stated the following in a post he made on the social media platform X:

“DEM's stalling attitude seems to have disturbed even Bahçeli, who initiated the process.

He demanded that a call to lay down arms be announced unconditionally after the second İmralı visit.

In other words, he said, ‘Do not stall any longer.’

However…

DEM Co-Chair Bakırhan, on the other hand, displayed an aggressive attitude:

-The government is setting a political ambush.

-It is undermining peace in Rojava.

-Even HTS does not use the language of the Foreign Minister.

-The Tishrin operation is reducing peace.

And he adds: -It is the state's turn to take a step.

You will ask for the protection of the terrorist structure in Syria, you will react to the operation against terrorists, you will insult the government, and you will say ‘take a step’ before there is even a call to lay down arms.

What kind of audacity this is, it is incomprehensible.

Although we know this language and style from the old resolution process, they have not changed at all.
